The Mail Preferences allow you to change the default settings for how mail is sent.
• Return Mail After:
If mail you have sent cannot be delivered, Snap Mail will hold the mail and attempt to send it later. But Snap Mail will not try to resend your mail indefinitely; it assumes that at some point you would like the mail to be returned. The “Return Mail After:” time specifies how long Snap Mail will wait before returning the mail to you. To change this time, simply change the number in the text box and select either minutes, hours, or days from the pop-up menu. The default retry period for letters is four days.
• Remove Alerts After:
Alerts are never permanent. You can remove them manually from a recipient’s computer by using the Mail Log, but even if you don’t, they will eventually remove themselves. The default removal deadline is 12 hours. You can change this default time by changing the number in the text box and selecting either minutes, hours, or days from the pop-up menu.
• Include recipient list with text of mail
In Snap Mail you can send one piece of mail to many people at once. It is often the case that you will want each person who receives the piece of mail to know who else received it. To have the names of all mail recipients appended to the text of the mail, click on this check box.
• Always send a copy of mail to self
To receive a copy of the mail you send, click on the this check box. You will not receive a copy of any file enclosures sent out with your mail.
